About Us

Born from the demands of emergency medicine, the Suture Gun represents Dr. Kinker’s solution to a critical gap in laceration care. As an experienced physician working in a high-volume emergency department, Dr. Kinker recognized that traditional suturing methods often consume valuable time and attention that could otherwise be directed toward life-threatening conditions such as major trauma, stroke, and cardiac emergencies. While surgical staple guns provide speed, they introduce notable drawbacks, including visible scarring, the need for removal, and allergic reactions in some patients. The Suture Gun bridges this gap by delivering rapid, efficient wound closure while minimizing these complications. Currently undergoing safety and usability testing with patent protection pending, the device is designed to help clinicians deliver high-quality wound care while maintaining focus on their most critically ill patients.
